Sonali does it again… Shows her underwear…

Sonali does it again… Shows her underwear…

Sonali Bendre is once again in the news for a wrong reason. She had a little oops! moment and gave an accidental peek-a-boo of her underwear at a private function recently.
Only a few weeks back the actress made the headlines for allegedly going pantyless to a party by Karan Johar. But Sonali strongly denied the reports.
Now, at the launch of Sussanne Roshan’s store The Charcoal Project over the weekend, Sonali came with hubby Goldie Behl to the event. While Sonali was in the car, she was clicked when her blue dress slid up and her underwear was exposed for a fleeting moment.
It’s an oops! moment that any celebrity dreads. If anything it goes to show that the previous news of Sonali going pantyless to the parties was most likely incorrect.

No hot and steamy intimate scene between Salman Khan and Asin….

No hot and steamy intimate scene between Salman Khan and Asin….There is no hot and steamy intimate scene between Salman Khan and Asin in director Anees Bazmee’s comedy film Ready. Like most of the others, this one was also just a rumour.
After London Dreams, Salman and Asin team up again for Ready which is a comedy. But there’s lately been a gossip that the duo has filmed for a very hot scene in the film. Director Anees Bazmee denies it.
“I don’t know where these rumours came from. There is no steamy sequence between Salman and Asin in Ready,” Bazmee is quoted as saying by a news agency.
Bazmee added that he makes clean entertainers that can be enjoyed by families.

“I don’t make films which I can’t watch with my own family. Look at any of my films so far, they can be seen comfortably without worrying that anything untoward may come on screen,” s
aid Bazmee.
The director added that the so-called intimacy between Salman and Asin is part of a song and there’s nothing objectionable in it.

Box Office Reports…

Last Friday’s release Tanu Weds Manu has taken a decent start at the box office while last week’s release 7 Khoon Maaf is going down.

Tanu Weds Manu, starring Kangana Ranaut as a rebellious small-town girl dead against arranged marriage and Madhavan as a possible suitor hand-picked by her parents, has opened to a fairly good 40 percent response at ticket windows. Though the response was more heartening in north India than elsewhere, the film is expected to perform well in the coming weeks because it doesn’t have any stiff competition at box office.

Vishal Bhardwaj’s much hyped 7 Khoon Maaf has turned out to be a colossal disappointment. It rounded off its first week with a collection of Rs. 15 crore nett.

Is Salman Khan in love again???

Salman and Hazel have been shooting together for Siddique Lal’s Bodyguard. Their chemistry on screen as well as off screen is simply terrific. In their free time they are bonding so well that people are beginning to wonder if there is more to it.
Salman Khan has surprised us once again. The actor has recently found a female companion who he loves spending time with.
Rumour has it that Sallu and British model Hazel are getting close to each other rather well. She took him out for a bike ride in Pune about two weeks ago, post which they spent a lot of quality time together.
The weather in that city is such that you can’t blame the two, but they have sure become the talk of town in Mumbai.
Before and after their shooting schedules, Salman and Hazel would spend a lot of free time with one another.
This comes as a surprise because Salman, whose reputation of having had an impressive line-up of girlfriends precedes him, reportedly wanted to concentrate only on his career post the success of Dabangg.
Looks like Hazel is a cute exception to the rule. Says a source, “Most new girls in the industry get quite intimidated by Salman, but Hazel has not shown any such signs. Salman and she hit it off like a house on fire.
It now seems that they are more than just good friends.”

Tanu Weds Manu- A Mismatched Wedding!!!

Director: Aanand L. Rai
Banner: Viacom 18 Motion Pictures Paramhans Creations and Movies N More Pvt. Ltd.
Story: Himanshu Sharma
Cinematography: Chirantan Das
Music: Krashana
Cast: R. Madhvan, Kangana Ranaut, Jimmy Shergill, Ravi Kissen, Deepak Dobriyal, Rajendra Gupta, K K Raina, Eijaz Khan, Swara Bhaskar
C: Ek Baar Chalta Hai :D
In a country obsessed with wedding “Tanu Weds Manu” strikes the right chord. Right from the first shot till the end one there’s “shaadi, shaadi and lots of shaadi.” It explores the age-old arranged marriage concept of India, also throwing light at the present scenario. Where else will you find a perfectly eligible man getting married because of “family pressure”? Or two adult individuals deciding the most important decision of their lives in a few minutes? Welcome to India!!!
The story is simple and oft repeated. We have Manoj Sharma, aka Manu (R.Madhvan) a decent, obedient son, who comes all the way from London to get married as per his parents’ wishes. Then we have Tanuja Trivedi or Tanu (Kangana Ranaut), a rebel from Kanpur, who does not want to be “customized” by some man. And as they say opposites attract. Our guy falls for this “loud-mouthed” “C-word spitting” “manizer” (In case you are wondering what “manizer” means then let me tell you it’s a word I coined to describe a woman who changes men every week/month or year. Opposite of womanizer, simple) When the “baat” finally gets “pakki”, Tanu drops a bomb on Manu by telling him, while smoking a cigarette (so much for “UP ke Sanskaar”), that she is in love with a contractor (Jimmy Shergill) whose name she has tattooed on her chest. She demands (no please, no request) Mr. Pacemaker (Manu’s profession in the movie) to call off the wedding. He dutifully obliges. But he just cannot get the woman out of his mind or heart. As luck would have it, destiny brings Tanu and Manu together again at a friend’s, you guessed it right, WEDDING. Will Ms. Confused finally say “I do” to Mr. Sacrifice? Go and find out.
Okay, let me first tell you what goes against the movie- its dragging pace. This couple of hours movie seems like an eternity, especially towards the end. In this world, where people love instant gratification, TWM is too slow. Long, senseless dialogues simply test the patience of the audience. Second thing which is hard to digest is the huge patience of the hero. Which guy will put up with a girl who treats him like crap? And for what? The girl is neither a looker nor refined. The third weak point is the story- nothing refreshing about it.
Having said that, TWM does offer entertainment to its audience. I am sure each one of us can relate to some moments in the movie. Be it NRI returning to find “Indian susheel” girl or “ladki dekhne ki rasam” or mother bragging about her so-called “cultured” daughter to get her married- these are episodes picked up from life. You might end up saying to the one sitting next to you, “Hey this happened with me.”
Performance by R. Madhvan as a shy guy is good. Rajat (Rajendra)Gupta as the father of the bride and K.K Raina as the groom’s father are convincing. But the guy who will catch your attention is Deepak Dobriyal (Pappi), a typical UP “bhai” who happens to be Manu’s friend, guide, confidante. His effortless acting is worth watching. As for Kangana Ranaut she looked miserable and acted far worse. A dialogue delivery classes rather than a cosmetic surgeon will do a world of good to your career Ms. Ranaut.
Another aspect which is commendable about the movie is the characterization. You will see typical characters which you meet so often. Like the worried mother of “30 something guy” who cannot find a single suitable girl for her son or friend who is eager to get you tied down to the woman who is not even remotely interested in you.
Music by Krashana is nothing great. How can a movie about wedding not have lots of “band baaja wala gana”? After all we are Indians!!! I wonder if the songs will survive even one wedding season. Fingers are crossed.
By all means, go and watch the movie if you love “shaadi, shehnayee and suhaagraat”. Don’t forget to take along your mom, Pammy mausi, Sheila chachi and the whole ladies gang.

Salman-Katrina may soon be seen together…

If buzz is to be believed, Director Kabir Khan (director of New York) is coming up with another Bollywood film and has decided to cast Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif in the lead. Kat is already a part of the film, but Salman’s consent is awaited.

The first choice for the film lead actor was SRK and then Hrithik Roshan. However, since both of them refused the offer, Kabir zeroed down his search to Sallu Bhai…

News has it that, Katrina Kiaf is unhappy with Salman Khan being a part of the film as the actress wanted to work with new actors, and pairing up with Shahrukh is in her wish list.

“She was looking forward to working with some new actors. Shah Rukh Khan and Hrithik Roshan would’ve been a great opportunity, she thought,” says a source.

But Katrina, seeing you both together, is really what we are wishing for…

Bollywood Poll: Kat or Bebo???

The latest trend in Bollywood seems to be the saree inspired gown. Every second actress is seen donning one, off late.

Katrina Kaif was first spotted in this outfit on the sets of Big Boss. Kareena Kapoor was recently spotted unveiling the stardust magazine in yet another saree inspired gown.

Who do you think looked better???

Movie Review: SAATH KHOON MAAF – ‘hell hath no fury like a woman scorned’

This movie had so many expectations to satisfy but despite best efforts by Priyanka Chopra and director Vishal Bhardwaj it soars in some occasions and falls short on some counts.

Suzanna (Priyanka Chopra) is a rich woman who wears her heart on her sleeve and unluckily meets and falls in love with six wrong men one after the other. Each of her husbands has a disastrous shortcoming which leads to their deaths.

Be it the jealousy of Major Rodrigues(Neil Nitin Mukesh), drug addiction and unfaithfulness of Jimmy(John Abraham), abusive sadomasochism of Musafir(Irffan Khan), polygamy of Nikolai Vronsky(Aleksandr Dyachenko), blackmailing and opportunistic nature of Keemat Lal (Anu Kapoor) or the deviousness of Dr. Modhusudhon Tarafdar(Naseeruddin Shah). She is assisted in all of her murderous adventures by her faithful assistants Usha Uthup and Shashi Malviya.

The story of first five husbands is narrated by Arun(Debutant -Vivaan Shah) to his wife played by Konkona Sen Sharma and the last one by Suzanna to Arun.

The movie has a dark enigmatic appeal to it. Priyanka gives a sterling performance all through the movie exuding a deadly and irresistible charm. The male leads have very little to do and are completely overshadowed by Priyanka in the frames, the only exceptions being Anu Kapoor who delivers a very realistic and competent performance and Vivaan Shah with a promising debut act.

‘Darling’ and ‘Hey Mama’ are hummable songs.
The editing is crisp and to the point. The movie could not have been more compressed than it already is.
In the end Vishal Bhardwaj deserves the credit for creating such a dark and thrilling cinematic experience.

The movie is not the regular mirch masala which takes the box office by storm and may not appeal to some, but it does warrant at least one visit to the theatre.

Bebo’s strongest competitor…. The Ouch moment!!!

Recently, when Kareena Kapoor was asked who her strongest competitor is, in Bollywood, she immediately replied, Rani Mukerji.
The next question that was thrown at her was, what she thought about her contemporaries like Priyanka Chopra and Katrina Kaif. Guess what Bebo replied??? She shot back saying, “I thought you were talking about actors!”
Ouch it hurts!

Dhoom 2 makes it international, more food for Dhoom 3

Dhoom 2 is always in news and so there is more food for thought for Dhoom 3 which is on cards. We always knew that Dhoom 2 had international standards in terms of action and now we have been proved right. Action sequences in Dhoom 2 have been nominated for the prestigious Taurus Stunt Awards.

Fight Master Alllan Amin who directed the stunt scenes is all excited about the nomination. “I am very proud of the fact that we have won a nomination. It’s a first,” says Amin. Remember Hrithik and Ash’s scene where they jump from the cliff, with actors volunteering for the scene the directed had no qualms about shooting the scene. And it was mind blowing! The makers had also roped in Australian stunt master Vic Armstrong to execute some of the stunts. The Hollywood stunt coordinator is all praise for Hrithik Roshan: “Hrithik is one of the fittest actors I have seen recently and those efforts made the stuff on Dhoom 2 look exceptionally good”. Armstrong has directed Tom Cruise and Pierce Brosnan. Let us hope to win this international award! It sure is going to set new standards for Yash Raj Films and Dhoom 3.

Ranbir caught kissing Katrina…

Katrina Kaif and Ranbir Kapoor have always maintained their “we are good friends” status. However, after hearing this piece of news, we are sure they are more in fact much more than “just friends”.

The duo were spotted sharing a kiss on an international flight LH 576 from Frankfurt to Mumbai on Sunday night.

As per reports, the love birds were seated side-by-side holding hands initially.

According to the eyewitness report, “The first class had many European businessmen, and not too many passengers recognised them. Katrina was wearing a casual T-shirt and jeans and had no make up on.
Initially she kept looking around to see if there would be any familiar Indian faces, but when she saw that wasn’t the case, she got comfortable in her seat and started talking to Ranbir.
After the flight took off, they cosied up and RK was seen planting kisses on her cheek and she didn’t seem to mind at all.”

Apart from enjoying the first class services, they also used the time to get some work done. They were seen browsing through the pages of what looked like a number of scripts. They were seen animatedly discussing their parts and even mouthing a few dialogues.

Salman Khan’s new find…

Salman Khan is a godfather to most of the newbie’s in Bollywood. Having a heart of gold, Sallu somehow manages to spot beauties and then taken on the responsibility of promoting them. Salman’s new finding is Hazel, not to be confused with Hazel from Mera Pehla Pehla Pyaar. Hazel is a British model and has now grabbed the super star’s attention.

Salman met Hazel on the sets of brother-in-law Atul Agnihotri’s film Bodyguard where she plays the role of Kareena Kapoor’s friend. If rumors are to be believed, Salman has been going out of his way to help Hazel get her lines and expressions right before the camera. Not just that, Salman even personally took pains to teach Hazel how to ride a bike.

The star is seen giving her a lot of tips on how to handle her career. She is of course grateful for his time and attention. They are often seen chatting on the set.

We seriously won’t be surprised to see Hazel acting opposite Sallu very soon…

Maddy Locks Lips With Kangana in TWM- Muaaahh!!!

It’s raining kisses in Bollywood. After the much-hyped 22 kisses in “Yeh Saali Zindagi”, it’s now the KISS scene in the forthcoming release “Tanu Weds Manu” (TWM) that is making the rounds these days.

It should be noted that R. Madhavan, who is playing lead in TWM, had vowed never to do a kissing scene again after smooching Vidya Balan in Mani Ratnam’s “Guru”. The actor could not keep his promise.

He was uncomfortable while locking lips with his pretty co-star, Kangna Ranaut. Sensing the discomfort, the lady came to his rescue and make him at ease during the shoot of the lip-lock. However, Maddy maintains that he hasn’t kissed in the movie. The truth will be revealed only with the release of the movie on the 25th of February 2011.

Salman Khan finds a cool name for ‘Bollywood’…

Just yesterday, we had reported Salman Khan’s disgust towards the name ‘Bollywood’. Today, the Dabangg star has come up with a new name.
Well, according to him, our Bollywood industry looks like ‘chamchas’ of Hollywood.
“Hate this name Bollywood… koi naam hai kya? Disgusting. Hollywood se Bollywood naam nikla, this is not the name of our industry. Don’t know where this ridiculous name has come from and got stuck… it makes us look like chamchas,” Salman Tweeted.
Immediately, one of Sallu’s follower on Twitter suggested a new name for Bollywood.
Salman tweets, “Just got a super tweet saying that it (Bollywood) should be called Hi Fi, which stands for Hindi Film Industry,” .
Well, Hi Fi is not a bad name… But I guess we can be a little more creative… :)

Aamir will be the baddie in Dhoom 3

After months of discussions, Bollywood perfectionist Aamir Khan has finally said YES to Dhoom 3. The superstar signed on the dotted line last night. He will be seen playing a baddie which was essayed by John Abraham and Hrithik Roshan in the first and the second part respectively. Abhishek Bachchan and Uday Chopra will once again play the cop and his tapori sidekick.
The film’s script and storyline is being kept secret, but Aamir Khan has himself confirmed that he was ‘highly impressed’ when he heard the script.
Says a source, “Last year in June, Aamir had met YRF scion Aditya Chopra, who had given Aamir an idea of how he envisaged him in Dhoom 3. Aamir had liked what he heard.
A detailed script narration took place thereafter on August 13 last year. After that, Aamir mulled if he should do the role or not. But then, Aamir always takes time to commit. And once he does, you know that he lives up to the expectations.”
Adds the source, “Aamir will have a very stylized look in the film. Aditya and Aamir have started working on the look.”
Dhoom 3 will not be directed by Sanjay Gadhavi but by Vikram Acharya (aka Victor) who wrote Dhoom and Dhoom 2 and also directed Tashan.
Dhoom 3 is slated for a Christmas release next year.

Salman’s question that alarmed Katrina… Very hilarious!!!

The funniest moment of the 17th Annual Star Screen Awards was when Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif caught up with each other.
Said a source present at the awards, “Salman was sitting outside his van when Katrina had finished her performance and crossed him to reach her vanity van parked next to his. Katrina thought that Salman’s mischievous comment was for her
Salman called out to her warmly and asked her to join him. When she came, Salman got up, hugged her and even kissed her on the cheek in full view of everyone. It was obvious by the act that Sallu and Kat were very relaxed towards each other.”

The real fun started when Katrina got up to return to her van. “After catching up on each others lives for a few minutes, Kat decided to change out of her costume.
As she started walking away, Salman in his usual mischievous style suddenly called out to Katrina, ‘abhi kiski saath hai tu?’
A stunned Katrina turned around to rebuke Salman when he quickly gestured towards her bodyguard, implying that he had addressed the question to him and not to her.
“Salman asked the bodyguard again ‘ab kiske saath hai toon?’ with a huge grin on his face thus averting what could have been a big public showdown!”

Movie Review: Patiala House

Movie Review: Patiala House

By, Neharika
Director: Nikhil Advani
Producer: Bhushan Kumar
Mukesh Talreja
Krishan Kumar
Twinkle Khanna
Zoeb Springwala
Cinematography: Santosh Thundiyil
Music: Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy
Cast: Akshay Kumar, Anushka Sharma, Rishi Kapoor, Dimple Kapadia, Hard Kaur, Prem Chopra
C: Ek Baar Chalta Hai :D
2011 has brought in a lot of excitement. But one of the most exciting and awaited events of this year is the ICC Cricket World Cup … Movies based on the world cup is inevitable … Nikhil Advani combines the excitement of cricket with the melodrama of a family nok-jhok. This is probably a good way for the producers to make an impression in the box office.
Introducing to you Patiala House as a joint Sikh family, consisting of sons, daughters, ghar jamais and cousins, homing various talents. Unfortunately, none of them could live their dreams, reason being the bigoted and adamant Rishi Kapoor.
Times change, people also change but Gurtej Singh Khalon aka Bauji (Rishi Kapoor) wasn’t made out of the changing material ..The movie is about Bauji developing hatred against the goras after a horrid incident of his mentor (Prem Chopra) getting killed under a racist attack … This triggered a sense of deep pride and Bauji started fighting for the cause of Indians residing in Southall, finally making it an Indian friendly country.
Pargat Singh Khalon aka Gattu (Akshay Kumar), then a kid, knew only one way and that was his Baujiway. Puppet like, he follows his Bauji’s orders instead of following his heart- being a pace bowler for the England Cricket team. Gattu, suppressing his desires, is content taking care of his Bauji’s provisional stores. The younger generation of Patiala House, holds him responsible for their individual sacrifices.
Anushka Sharma aka Simran, a chirpy and energetic young girl, along with her brother Zee, wittness Gattu losing himself and with the combined effort of the entire Patiala House, gets him to join the England Cricket Team, against his Bauji’s wishes.
Patiala House, in every possible way tries hiding the truth from Bauji until the cover is blown by Gattu’s brother. This news didn’t go well with Bauji which in turn led to him disowning Gattu. Soon the father realizes that his son was at such a stage where the entire British nation is dependent on him for their victory.
Nikhil did a pretty impressive job on the direction front. The film consisted of various emotions in the right proportion. The Cricket cast was very real with Andrew Symonds, Herschelle Gibbs, Kieron Pollard and the legend Nasir Hussain making special appearances. The cricket scenes wasn’t as thrilling as Laagan or Iqbal, but it did serve the purpose. Manan Sagar’s editing was good but could have been better. Shankar-Ehsan-Loy’s music was apt for the film, Akshay Kumar was very convincing as a cricketer, Anushka Sharma, a natural actor that she is, did a brilliant job, not to forget the flawless acting of Rishi Kapoor and Dimple Kapadia combined.
The film is over all an eye watering yet fun-filled family drama.
